The Village of Buffalo Grove and Shorewood Development Group are set to hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Bison Crossing Development this week. The development site is located at 915 Dundee Road.
According to a press release from the Village of Buffalo Grove, Village President Eric Smith and Louis Schriber III, founding partner and CEO of Shorewood Development Group, will deliver speeches during the ceremony scheduled for 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 1.
The same press release also reveals that Tesla's Cyber Truck will be showcased during the groundbreaking event. Limited seating and refreshments will be provided for attendees. Parking arrangements have been made in the eastern adjacent parking lot for Bison Park and on the development site's parking lot.
The property, spanning 16 acres, has remained vacant for 12 years after previously housing the Rohrman auto dealerships, as per another Village of Buffalo Grove press release. The new development plans include a 50,000-square-foot Tesla Sales, Service, and Delivery Center, along with a residential complex comprising more than 220 units.
In line with Buffalo Grove's economic development efforts, Bison Crossing is situated in the newly established Tax Increment Financing District, according to yet another press release from the Village of Buffalo Grove.
