State Rep. Tom Weber, speaking at a press conference at the Capitol today, introduced two pieces of legislation aimed at curbing property tax increases. House Bills 4354 and 4716, according to Rep. Weber, would establish caps to prevent individual property tax bills and assessments from exceeding 5% or 3%, respectively.
Weber stated, "We need to provide some relief to homeowners who are struggling to keep up with escalating property tax bills."
If passed, these bills would bring significant changes to property tax regulations in the state, offering a measure of stability and predictability for homeowners facing increasing property tax burdens.
